A Night at the Guthrie

Some friends and I went to see a CS Lewis play at the Guthrie - thanks to Here's Life Inner City we were able to go at a very discounted rate...

Anyway - thought I would bring my camera along to take some pictures. I know they are not the best, but I thought all the interesting lighting was fun to play with even though it wreaked havoc on my focusing.... Oh well - live and learn right? Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

Hope you all are having fun with your friends and family. I am very excited because I have an entire week off from work so I can go through all the pictures I have takend and not posted.... So look for that. As for now - I figured I would post all my family pictures from our get together last night.

This first picture is so funny because Sophia had been sick for the past 3 days so she was very excited to see other people, and let me tell you she was crazy!









So - this year, since there were only three kids opening gifts we were actually able to only open one gift at a time... Good job Lori!





So this year I also bought myself a little pre-Christmas present in the form of wireless remote for my camera so I thought what a great time to test it out... Note to self: there is a 10 foot range for the sensor... Here were the first couple shots that were taken once we figured that out... Next time I will test my toys out before bragging about them.

Well this is my first time using my flash and let me tell you I am definitely still learning. I am still working on fixing my issues, but here is a taste of ones to come... Thanks for letting me experiment on you guys and I apologize for the pic's not turning out as well as they could have. Who knew Flash photography would be so hard.

Lil' Tater Tot

Recently I had the chance to meet up with some friends who are expecting. It was so much fun walking around by a lake with these two unfortunatley we didn't have too much time; however we are still going to meet up once the nursery is done and snap a few more shots. For now enjoy these few.

Coolest Bar in Denver...

If you are ever in Denver you have to check out this little bar called The Retro Room. It is the coolest little joint around, I wish there was one here in the twin cities, I would have my bachelorette party there. It is a bar/beauty salon. Yeah I know you are thinking Mel's Beauty Salon, however this place is different. The bar is really cool and Guys actually hang out there. In fact on Friday and Sat. nights you might be able to get into a random card game (if you are lucky) just for fun though - no gambling...

Now ladies I am sure your wondering how are the stylists... Let me tell you they are top notch. The owner is young and hip and their clientele runs the spectrum of ages. This salon has it all pedicures, manicures and martinis. What more could a girl ask for?

So guys if your girl is looking for a place to get her hair or nails done - bring her here. What more could you ask for? You look like the amazing boyfriend who is willing to go with your girl to get her hair/nails done; yet you get to sit back and enjoy a beer and game on their TV's.






Anyway figured I would let you all know of this little gem I found in Denver. So if you have the chance and are around Coors field you should stop in and say hi!

Breckenridge Colorado

So Josh and I are out in Colorado this weekend, visiting our friends and checking out the house we are getting married in this January. Very cool - I have never been to Breckenridge and I have to say, it is the coolest little ski town EVER! I cannot wait to see it in January under a bunch of snow. Anyway here are a few pictures of us waiting in the air port, my two favorite dogs in Colorado and some scenery of Breckenridge.

Yep it is official I am turning into a crazy cat lady.... But I could not pass up this hat I found at Target, it just fits my cat's personality so much.... See for yourself.
