See told you it wouldn't last...

Sorry guys, I have been fighting off an illness the past couple of days so I have been sleeping and working so unfortunately not doing too many photos. Anyway, thought I would finally post photos from our walk on Friday night.

Once Josh got home from school and I finished up working we decided to head downtown and go see the Acropolis. We got down there at just about the right time, lighting was great - enough to take a lower ISO picture but not the harsh afternoon sun. The only problem was that we decided to take the long way around the acropolis and by the time we actually made it to the entrance it had closed.... ha ha - good thing we have more than just a week here right :)

Anyway - taking the long way was fun because it gave us the chance to see different angles of the city that most probably don't see.

Enjoy!

The cool thing about Athens is you have all these buildings then right in the middle there is an old ruin of some sort. I can't remember what this one was, but I have to make it back there when it is open and I can get some more shots.

Back side of the Acropolis.

Josh on the random path we were following... It is crazy how the houses are built into the hills here and how there is absolutely no yards plus how small the houses are, some of these older ones in the downtown area I don’t know if I could stand up straight in them.

Walking path that we thought went to someone’s house so we didn't want to use it; however the other path ended so we had to go down, luckily it led to a street.

After we couldn't get in to see the acropolis we decided to go get something to eat and happened upon this restaurant that had a pretty cool view...

There is a church at the top of the hill in the background that I hear is pretty cool - we are going to go check it out soon so keep your eyes out for those pictures.
